1. Choose a subject, then use 3 different search engines to find web sites that relate to your topic. Take a look and see how the results differ from engine to engine.
2. Search google groups on a topic. Pick a newsgroup that relates to your topic, then use Browse Groups to see what messages people have posted to that newsgroup.
3. Connect to ftp://wuarchive.wustl.edu Go to the systems/ibmpc/win95/games directory and download the file dec32.exe This self-extracting file will extract to c:/temp. Use Windows Explorer to try out this application.
4. Go to Phoenix Public Library's On-line Catalog and play around in it.
5. Go to Yahoo and do a search on a stock using their stock quotes section.
6. Go to a web page of your choice and save a picture and an audio file.
7. Create several different bookmarks.
8. Change the page that automatically comes up when you first turn on your browser to a page that you like.
9. Send some e-mail. Maybe create an address book of the people that you send e-mail to the most.
